The source code of DocTell is released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0).

You are free to view, study, fork, and modify the code for personal, educational, or research purposes.

However, **you may NOT**:
- use the code for any commercial purpose,
- publish the code or modified versions on app stores,
- distribute paid or ad-supported versions,
- include subscriptions, premium features, or commercial API usage,
- relicense the code under a different license,
- create closed-source or proprietary derivatives.

Any redistributed version of the code **must remain fully open-source under AGPL-3.0** and must make all source code, including modifications, publicly available.

DocTell’s official Android app and its proprietary assets are © 2025 Caspar Ekroth and are **not** covered by the open-source license.
